NATIONAL SEMINAR
ANNUAL NATIONAL SEMINAR, ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND EXHIBITION
For over 25 years SALSC has organised it's annual national seminar,
annual general meeting and exhibition with a programme designed to bring
together its member local sports councils and associate agencies to
discuss matters of mutual interest and to learn of new initiatives and
developments taking place in sport throughout Scotland.
In more recent times SALSC has been joined by sportscotland and their
Scottish Sports Development Conference. The Joint National Seminar and
Sports Development Conference has been developed to ensure that all
organisations, associations, clubs and individuals involved in the
development of sport here in Scotland have an opportunity to meet
together.
The joint National Seminar and Sports Development Conference also
provides an opportunity for other organisations such as the Scottish
Sports Association, the Health Education Board for Scotland, Local
Authorities, the Scottish Association of Directors of Leisure Services
to take part in what is recognised as Scotland's top international
sports Conference.
In January of 2001 SALSC was delighted to join with sportscotland to
organise a joint event, which brought together sportscotland's highly
successful National Sports Development Officers' Conference and the
National Seminar, Annual General meeting and Exhibition of SALSC. This
joint event proved to be an outstanding success and will be repeated in
future years.
