SALSC - SALSC News - 22/01/2008

Apologies to those who have booked , but I was truly saddened when told of the low numbers who have sent in applications to the Annual Conference and Seminar this year. I understand the difficulties of, meetings after the Festive season, certain financial restrictions that your Sports Council, or organisation may have , even demands on time for the volunteer, but a lack of constructive response, I do not.

This is my third and final year as Chairman of SALSC, and each year, after the Conference we have taken on board each & every comment made, good and bad, and acted upon it. We have changed the Venue, altered the format, even cut the Conference down to 2 actual days rather than 3, and still it would seem we can’t please.

I have travelled far and wide throughout Scotland in the last three years, supporting Sports Councils in all they do, yet when we organise a superb event like this, I can’t help but feel let down that it is not supported.

So please, those who have not responded to the invitation, have a re-think, pass this message to all your members, and restore my faith in the wonderful people who are “Sport in Scotland”.
