ADMINISTRATION OF SALSC

Members may be wondering why I appear to still be operating in the Post of Administrator of SALSC while it had been my intention to retire during the earlier part of the year.

This has been due to the fact that my retiral coincided with the requirement from sportscotland SALSC to carry-out a fundamental review of our management and operation in the light of my retiral - which project was successfully completed and approved by the Association at our recent Extra-Ordinary General Meeting and now accepted by sportscotland and also the decision of the Scottish Government to carry out a review of the operation of sportscotland itself.

These circumstances led to the Executive Committee not being in a position to advertise my Post until the sportscotland position had become clearer and as a consequence to the Committee agreeing to extend my contract until 31st December and on a month to month basis thereafter until a new appointment is made early in the New Year.

Over the short period from 1st January until the new appointment is made I shall be maintaining my commitment to SALSC but will be supported by our Office Bearers and the members of the Executive Committee.
