SALSC - SALSC Sports Events - Junior Curling

Curling is a great indoor sport for all ages and each year SALSC, in partnership with the Royal Caledonian Curling Club, runs a National Funspiel for under 13s and under 15s to get more young people involved in the sport. This is your opportunity to get involved – we’re bringing curling to you by holding 4 regional events in the North, South, East and West of Scotland. The events are focusing on getting people into curling but for those wanting to go further the top teams will then go on to compete in the national final , hosted this year by SportRenfrewshire at Braehead Curling Rink on Saturday 28th March.

Below are details of the four regional events so have a look at your nearest one and why not give it a go:

North:
Tuesday 14th October at Curl Aberdeen

Next to each competition are contact details for an allocated Curling Development Officer who will be organising that region’s competition. If you or any of your members wish to enter a team or simply want to find out more then please use the contact details provided. I hope many of you will take up this excellent opportunity to give this great sport a try and who knows, this may be your first step (or slide) to representing Scotland at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, 2014!!
