GENTS BOWLS

SALSC GENTS BOWLS 2005

Hosted by Monklands Sports Council
at West End Bowling Club
on Friday 26th August

The S.A.L.S.C. Gents 50+ Bowling took place at the West End Bowling Club, Coatbridge on the wettest day of the summer if not of the year. Local M.P. Tom Clarke a former Provost of Monklands performed the opening ceremony and welcomed the bowlers who came from all over Scotland to Coatbridge and to the West End Bowling Club. In spite of the weather all of the bowlers enjoyed themselves although the souvenir minuters of Old Poulteney Whisky were being used for medicinal purposes, well that`s what they told me, rather than souvenirs.

The section winners and runners up who went on to the last 16 were :-
