SALSC - SALSC Sports Events - Ladies Bowls

The weather was unkind and delayed the start for half an hour. Fortunately the rain eased off and eventually stopped. The venues were excellent, Greenfaulds Bowling Club and Abronhill Bowling Club were both used for the first rounds and the quarters, semis and final were played at Greenfaulds.

Quarter Finals

Angus beat Sport Moray
Roxburgh beat North Ayrshire
Wigtonshire A beat Cumbernauld D
Wigtonshire B beat Sutherland

Semi Finals

Roxburgh beat Wigtonshire B
Wigtonshire A beat Angus

Final

Wigtonshire came back from a 7-1 deficit over 9 ends to force an extra end and won by one shot.

Most of the ladies stayed to watch the final or perhaps it was for the home baking.
