"It's lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in myself."
One of the core values of SALSC is to ensure that the contribution of volunteers in sport is recognised. This doesn’t just apply to the coaches and athletes but also all the people behind the scenes that make success in sport, however you choose to determine success, possible.
To transfer this value to our membership, SALSC (with the support of sportscotland) provides all full members with one Service to Sport Award to distribute annually at an event of their choosing. While this only allows for a tiny fraction of the contribution made by volunteers to be recognised, this empowers local communities to identify people who have truly made a different in their area and thank them for all they have done.
If your Local Sports Council would like to take advantage of this and recognise the contribution made by someone in your community, please contact Jacqui Dunlop for a Request Form on email@example.com.
