Audit Working Group

The Audit Working Group ensures that SALSC is supported by all the necessary policies, procedures and protocols. This enables SALSC, although a voluntary association, is able to conduct itself in a professional manner and it is the work of the Audit Working Group (in partnership with the Finance and Marketing Directors) to ensure that SALSC is sustainable from a management perspective and appealing to external funding agencies (e.g. sportscotland and sponsors).

In addition, the Audit Working Group is responsible for overseeing SALSC’s responses to external consultations and political involvement from the Cross Party Working Group for Sport to meetings with the Minister for the Commonwealth Games and Sport.

The Audit Working Group meets quarterly and consists of three members from the Board of Directors in addition to a maximum of three volunteers to provide balance to the Group. The Group is supported by the services of the SALSC National Development Officer.

A full remit for the Audit Working Group can be viewed below. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer on one of SALSC’s working groups, please contact the National Development Officer using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
