Television’s Toughest Quiz turns its attention to the Nation’s Favourite Obsession … Sport

The same black chair, the same foreboding theme tune and the same 2 minute rounds but with a distinctly sporting flavour.

Presiding over events will be the most iconic sports broadcaster in the history of television. Des Lynam will make his long awaited return to the BBC to host this series of 10 sporting contests.

We will put 4 Sporting Boffins through their paces to see who can stand the pressure of the clock. Contestants will answer two minutes on a sporting specialist subject and two minutes on sporting general knowledge. Up for grabs is the the coveted title of Sport Mastermind 2008.
