New VDS Directors

Two new Directors have been appointed to the VDS Board from the Volunteer Centre Network. We welcome Helen Munro, Chair of Volunteer Centre Stirling and Gary Malone, Manager of Volunteer Centre Angus.

Memorandum and Articles

Our governing document, the Memorandum and Articles of Association, were revised through a special resolution at the AGM in December 2007. Section 3 and 59 have been amended and lodged with Companies House.

New Awards for Volunteers Management - SCQF Level 6 starting 21st February!

We are delighted to announce three new exciting and unique learning programmes to support and develop people who work with and manage volunteers. The Awards Programme will consist of two Customised Awards set within the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and a Professional Development Award. All three awards will be available during 2008. The first award to be offered will be Coordinating Volunteers which starts on 21st February 2008.

Investing in Volunteers Subsidy Scheme for Environmental Volunteering Organisations

A reminder to our members in the environmental sector. The Investing in Volunteers Subsidy Scheme is funded by the Scottish Government through FEVA (Forum for Environmental Volunteering Activity) and administered by VDS. The programme will run for 3 years and there are 2 levels of subsidy. Find out more on our website.
