Supporting Sports Clubs and Activity Groups in Protecting Children

As highlighted at the last meeting of the SGB Lead Officer's Group, I am pleased to attach information about the workshop 'Supporting Sports Clubs and Activity Groups in Protecting Children'.

You can now book onto this one day workshop individually. It is aimed at both local authority and SGB staff who have a role in working directly with sports clubs and volunteers working with children (e.g. sports development officers/managers, Active Schools coordinators/managers, SGB child protection lead officers, club development officers and so on).

The first workshop is due to be held at the Tulip Inn in Glasgow on 15 November 2007 and costs £70 per place.

The closing date for applications for the workshop is 31 October 2007 so if you are interested in booking onto this workshop please do so by then!
