INTERNATIONALTo European ISCA members: An Opportunity for Youth in your OrganisationsI am happy to write to you as representatives from ISCA member organisations in Europe. As you may be aware, I have recently started as Secretary General of ISCA, and I am looking forward to contributiong to the development of the organisation to the benefit of you as ISCA members and Sport for All in general. You are all more than welcome to contact me at any time, should you have any questions, ideas, suggestions - or just want an update on ISCA matters. I am also writing to you now to inform you about an important initiative developed by ISCA and its Italian member association UISP. I would like you to consider which young people from your organisations could be interested in this offer. The initiative is based on a training course linked to Vivicittá, a UISP event. Vivicittá is a good example of "sport for all": it is a running event organized simultaneously in 60 cities all over the world. Every year Vivicittá is linked to a social topic and around 70000 citizens run under that respective banner sharing an idea and sending common social messages "without barriers". The training course goal is to use the concept of Vivicittá and find new possibilities to develop similar events in new cities and new countries. The target group of the training are the young people - between 18 and 30 years old - from all the Member States of the Council of Europe. They will learn how organize a mass event sport and they will have the opportunity to collaborate for the next edition of the Vivicittá. The training will take place in Bucharest, from the 21st to the 25th of May. The fee is 25 Euro for each participant, ISCA will provide food, accommodation and a maximum of 200 -EUR for the travel expenses. Finding young participants in your own organisation will give the participants themselves a chance to develop important skills. It will also give the young people a closer connection to your organisation, and in this way be part of the resource base and development potential for your organisations for the future. It is an opportunity for you to consider! To get more information about the event, please
follow this link: Please let us know if you are interested in this initiative as soon as possible. The deadline for registration is 27. March. If you have any candidates or contacts interested in this training, please forward this communication. Best regards, Jacob Schouenborg Posted : 14/03/2008 |
