Interest Group
While many of the other interest groups directly
deliver services to our members, the Resources Interest Group ensures
that SALSC is supported by all the necessary policies, procedures and
protocols. This enables SALSC, although a voluntary association, to
conduct itself in a professional manner and it is the work of the
Resources Interest Group, in partnership with the Hon. Treasurer, to
ensure that SALSC is sustainable from a management perspective and
appealing to external funding agencies (e.g. sportscotland and
sponsors).
Dominating its current remit, the Resources Interest
Group is responsible for presenting to the Management Board solutions to
the recommendations from the recent Fit 4 Purpose Audit undergone by SALSC. Once completed SALSC will be in a far better position to apply
for much larger funds and projects to support its membership.
As with all the interest groups, the Interest Group
Chair and Vice Chair are elected while the remaining group members are
either nominated or hand selected from the membership. As per all
interest groups the group meets on average every 2 months and is
supported by the services of SALSC’s Administrator and Policy Director.
