SALSC - SALSC Committees

Although a volunteer led organisation, SALSC is committed to a diverse and varied programme to ensure it brings real value to its members delivering such services as forging relationships with local authorities, volunteer and club development, sporting events, international opportunities and a broad range of expertise in areas of club, volunteer, local and national sports development.

However, another important area of SALSC’s work is to make sure it is at the forefront of sports policy and decision making in Scotland, particularly with respect to the voluntary sector to ensure the opinions of its members – local sports councils representing grass roots clubs – are heard.

To achieve these ambitious goals SALSC has established a Board of Directors for direction and governance tasking a number of interest groups – International, Member Services, Resources, Sports & Events and the Youth Committee – to ensure SALSC is continually moving forward and developing these areas.

In all cases members of the SALSC Board of Directors and interest groups are volunteers who donate their services, joined by the common goal of improving the support and opportunities for voluntary led, grass roots sport in Scotland. To assist them in this SALSC employs a full time Administrator and Policy Director.
