NEWSSALSCIMPORTANT – SALSC AGM CHANGED TO SUNDAY 21ST FEBRUARY – IMPORTANTI apologise for the short notice as I imagine many of you will have seen the draft programme stating that the SALSC AGM will be on the Saturday afternoon of the SALSC Conference. Unfortunately, because we had been focusing on drawing up a new constitution we had overlooked that in order to comply with the current constitution SALSC is required to hold its AGM by the end of February at the latest. Therefore, I have now made arrangements for the SALSC AGM to be held at 2pm on Sunday 21st February at:
Ramada Jarvis Livingston This year’s AGM will be a major turning point in SALSC’s history and help complete the transition of becoming a company Limited by Guarantee. This new structure not only brings with it more robust governance and inspire greater confidence from key national partners such as sportscotland and the Scottish Government, it also symbolises the progress SALSC has made over the past 18 months and the organisation’s willingness to change. Attached you will find the necessary papers including: I have also included for your information: While I apologise for the late notice and appreciate that it is a significant journey for some of you, I hope that many of you will be able to support this event and lend your support to the direction the association is heading in. The AGM is due to start at 2pm although teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits will be provided from 1.30pm. The meeting is expected to last no longer than an hour and afterwards there will be an opportunity to have a look around one of the potential venues being considered for the 2011 SALSC conference. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the Sunday 21st February. OLIVER BARSBY Posted : 31/01/2010 |
